Byron Park tells the story.
- Broken equipment.
- Poor lighting.
- No toilets.
- Little shade.
- No clear long-term plan.
For years, residents in Wealdstone have raised concerns about the condition of Byron Park, yet visible improvements have been limited. Meanwhile, parks in other parts of Harrow are seeing upgrades.
So why is Wealdstone being left behind?
Thanks to the efforts of your two Labour councillors, Angella Murphy-Strachan and Yusuf Yusuf, funding has been secured to replace some of the equipment, such as the toddler unit next to the slide, and the redundant equipment which should have been removed earlier. However, more needs to be done.
We believe Byron Park should be restored, properly maintained, and protected as Wealdstone’s green heart — not neglected or slowly eroded.
Now we want to hear from you so we can push for real action.
