As your local Headstone Councillors, we are standing together to oppose plans to develop the Old Lyonian’s site on Pinner View.
We have met with the developer, attended engagement meetings, and listened carefully to both ZEDHomes and local residents. Our conclusion is clear: these development plans are not acceptable for our community.
The Old Lyonian’s site is a designated open space and should remain protected. We believe it should also be listed as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) – a vital step that can potentially give the community more say over its future. An ACV listing can delay or even block unsuitable developments by creating a moratorium period, giving residents the chance to organise, bid for the land, and preserve it for public benefit.
Your Headstone Councillors – Simon Brown, Natasha Proctor, and Sasi Suresh alongside Gareth Thomas MP – are keeping a close watch on this site and will fight any application brought to the Planning Committee. Designated open space should not be lost to housing development, and this land must be safeguarded for the benefit of the whole community.
We, the undersigned, call on Harrow Council to protect the Old Lyonian’s site from development.
