We the undersigned petition the Secretary of State for Transport, Transport for London, the Mayor of London and City Hall. We demand Step-Free Access at Rayners Lane Station, this will finally support elderly residents and those with reduced mobility to finally access the station and the wider transport network.
Rayners Lane Station has 3.3 million entrances and exits every year showing that it is a major transport hub in the area. This means installing Step-Free Access will benefit many elderly residents and residents with reduced mobility.
Rayners Lane is an important interchange between the Metropolitan and Piccadilly lines. Changing there allows residents to take orbital journeys between Harrow and Ealing, avoiding Zone 1 and leading to lower fares. Currently the closest station with Step-Free Access which is served by both lines is Ickenham. Travelling there to interchange significantly increases the journey times for those who require Step-Free Access.
